Bishop Andrew M.L. Dietsche was elected by the clergy and lay representatives of the parishes of the diocese to be our new Bishop Coadjutor at a special election convention at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine on November 19, 2011.
He was consecrated at a service held in a packed Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine on Saturday, March 10, 2012.
Update May 2, 2012 – Bishop Dietsche will be installed as the XVI Bishop of New York at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine on February 2, 2013. In a letter readable in full here, Bishop Sisk announced his retirement effective on that date.
